ODBC (RDO) dialog box
Data Source Selection screen
Select Data Source
Select this option to connect to ODBC data sources that you have already created with the ODBC Data Source Administrator on your local machine (any User DSN, File DSN, or System DSN).
For details about ODBC, data source names (DSNs), and the ODBC Data Source Administrator, see your Microsoft documentation. See Using ODBC data sources for information about creating DSNs.
Data Source Name
Use this list to select a particular DSN. This list shows all System DSNs on your machine, all User DSNs created for your Windows user account, and all File DSNs located in your default ODBC data sources folder (typically C:\Program Files\Common Files\ODBC\Data Sources).
Find File DSN
Select this option to use a File DSN that’s located on your computer or network (that is, a File DSN in a location other than your default ODBC data sources folder).
File DSN
Enter the full path and name of your File DSN, or use the button adjacent to this field to search for your File DSN.
Enter Connection String
Select this option to connect to your data source by passing an ODBC connection string directly to the ODBC Driver Manager. This option allows you to connect to a data source through ODBC without first creating a DSN (so long as the connection string provides all relevant server information).
Connection String
Enter an ODBC connection string that contains all attribute/value pairs (separated by semi-colons) that are required in order to connect successfully to your data source through ODBC. Then click Finish.
Note: If you include your database password in the connection string, the information is saved with your report and is consequently visible to any other Crystal Reports user who opens your report in the designer.
Check your database and/or ODBC driver documentation for a complete list of attribute/value pairs that may be required. To view an example of the attribute/value pairs relevant to your data source, first use the ODBC Data Source Administrator to create a File DSN that allows you to connect to your data source. Save the File DSN to your local drive, and open the resultant text file (with a .dsn extension) in a text editor such as Notepad.
Connection Information screen
The fields on this screen are completed based on the DSN that you selected on the previous screen. In general, use the fields you see to specify the connection information (database identification and logon information) for your data source.

Kies Databron
Connection String
